Flamengo announced the contract renewal of defensive midfielder Erick Pulgar this Friday until the end of 2027. The number 5 shirt arrived at the club in 2022 and, in the same year, won the Copa do Brasil and the Copa Libertadores, in addition to a Campeonato Carioca (2024), another Copa do Brasil (2024), and the Supercopa do Brasil (2025).

“I wanted to express my happiness for this renewal; it was what I wanted, and my family too,” said the 31-year-old player, who is part of the Chilean national team squad.

“In 2024, he provided 4 assists in 47 matches played, just a little more than in 2023 (5), when he scored 2 goals. In 2025, he has not scored or provided an assist for Flamengo yet, according to Sofascore data.”
